  • Nobariya, Egypt

The  Nobariya site is located in a desert area in the north of Egypt, where the groundwater is affected by a moderate salinization and there is a strong need of water availability for the agricultural use. Currently the local WWTP treats a flowrate of 6,800 m3/day and it is expected to treat up to an amount of 20,000 m2/day in the next two years, 32,000 m3/day by 2017 and 50,000 m3/day by 2030. • Korba, Tunisia

The study area is located in Korba, in the north/east of Tunisia. Climatically semi-arid and geologically composed by clay and sandstones, the region’s most  dominant economic activity are the agricolture, some agro and textile industries and tourism. The aquifer system of Eastern Tunisian coast is formed by two superimposed aquifers, a groundwater sheet and a deep aquifer. Read More about “Korba, Tunisia”…
